The Error glove was added on April 16, 2021 and costs 
20,000 to unlock. It seems to have infinite power as it sends victims to the floating point, where the victim’s avatar will begin to glitch out as a result of Roblox engine quirks. Visually, it uses the missing Source texture mostly known from Garry’s Mod and Half-Life 1, 2, the Source engine, and other Valve games. It is hidden behind a golden Moai statue in the lobby, located in the corner in between the Normal Arena and Slap Royale portals. Upon equipping it for the first time, the player will be given the Error glove badge and the Link glove respectively.
Originally, Error used to be known as the Obama glove, which had different textures, sounds, and a different tooltip. It was removed for violating Roblox’s politics rule, and more specifically, Roblox banning Obama due to discrimination.

Error’s ability is called Death, (unofficial name) upon being activated the player will instantly die and error noises will play from the user’s dead body. Respawning from Error’s ability is shorter than regular respawning.
Passive[]
Error’s passive has no confirmed name, upon slapping a player, a killbrick script runs, killing the victim instantly, this is proven due to the fact that sometimes even with immense power the Error glove user sometimes slaps the victim into the ground and still killing that same target. You can still survive with Cheeky and come back to the island although this is extremely rare.

When the user slaps a Jet or Phase orb with Error and collects it, they will obtain the 01110010 01110101 01101110 badge and the Glitch glove.

- Error, Coil and Overkill are currently the only gloves to play a sound upon being held.
- For the Obama glove, there was originally planned to be a secret area where you would find the glove. The player would ride the conveyor to the opposite side of the lobby, and climb the back of the leaderboard sign. There would be an entrance to the president’s office, with the glove being placed behind the desk.
- This is the 1st glove to not be located on a stand, the others being potato and spin.
- If anyone is lagging enough upon being slapped by Error, there is a chance that they will briefly be sent to the floating point, but then get immediately returned to the Normal Arena and die instantly.
- The 666 in the tooltip represents the devil’s number.
- Error’s location has changed throughout the game’s history. In the original lobby, it was found by moving the camera through the rightmost wall to unlock it. In later updates, it was hidden inside a golden glove statue, obtained in the same way.
- This is the 1st glove to have a Passive + Press E to use at the same time, the other being Killstreak, Hallow Jack, Detonator and Psycho.
- There is a bug where if Cheeky’s ability is used the instant before being slapped, the Cheeky user will survive the attack and be teleported to the floating point with full health.
- It is possible to survive a hit without using a glitch, but it is incredibly rare.
- Obama’s tooltip used to be «Michelle, I uh, slap the people.”
- It’s commonly believed that Error has an extended hitbox, although it has been proven false by Tencelll on the Discord channel, and has also been explained on this post.
- In fact, in order to prevent ZZZZZZZ users from getting slapped while sleeping, Tencelll shrunk the hitbox.
- The badge given for equipping it is used for unlocking another glove, Link, essentially granting 3 gloves at the same time. The third being Baller. This was changed in the May 19, 2023 update when the price for Baller was reduced.
- This is one of the only gloves that is able to bypass Reverse’s ability.
- Since November 4th, 2022, after God’s Hand’s price was increased to
25,000, this is the first one shot the player can earn (assuming the player hasn’t purchased OVERKILL yet). - There is currently a bug where some users are not receiving the glove upon entering the arena, even with the glove equipped.
- This makes it impossible to get some badges without help, notably Glitch.
- There is a strange bug where when hit by Error, your camera stays in place while your character is flying way far off the arena.

Slap Battles: How to get the Error Glove

To unlock the Error Glove in Slap Battles you’ll first need to get at least 20,000 slaps. Yes, you need to slap other players 20,000 times in order to get the Error Glove.
You can make this a bit easier for yourself, by purchasing the 2x or 5x Slaps game passes. With the 2x game pass, you need to get 10,000 slaps, and with the 5x game pass, you only need to get 4,000 slaps. Regardless, there is a lot of grinding to do so you need to put some work in.
Also, this must be done in a public play area. VIP slaps do not count toward this total, so make sure you head into somewhere like the Normal Arena to get your slaps in.
Once you have gotten at least 20,000 slaps, head back to the lobby where all your unlocked gloves can be seen. Just to the left of the Normal Arena portal you should see a large Moai statue. Look behind it to and you will see the Error Glove. Grab it to unlock it with your 20,000 slaps.
