Most business at Xerox is likely to go well and generate sufficient profit. A reason for Xerox not to respond to the minority experiencing technical problems.
I bought the Xerox Workstation at the time because the brand had a good name. The reason I chose a laser printer was because I printed too little and my ink jet printer dried up every year. A laser printer does not have this problem.
After 2 years and 2 months I got the well-known 062-380 problem. I first tried to get help from the shop for repair. When the store wouldn’t help me, I asked Xerox directly for help. Xerox wanted to repair the workstation, but it cost twice the price of a new machine. Of course I’m not crazy and I didn’t do it… I’m really not mentally disturbed.
The printer itself works great. I’m still working on the supplied toner cartridges. To solve my problem I bought a small inexpensive printer/scanner from HP so that I can continue scanning.
My problem has been solved with this and as written before: NEVER AGAIN A XEROX IN MY HOUSE. Xerox is not going to help simple private users. The company is too big for that. We are not important.
NOTE: Execute the IIT diagnosis and then call NVM location [715-030] again (press the
Change Settings button) to check the value (diagnosis result).

Check the light path for any obstacle, and the lamp, the lens, the mirror and the White Correct-
ing Plate for deterioration or contamination.
Procedure
1.
Turn the power ON and enter the Diag mode. Change the value for NVM location [715-
030] to «1» and then execute «NVM Write».
2.
A 3 or 4-digit number is displayed in the current value column.

Check the upper 1 or 2 digits, or the lower 2 digits using the following table and replace
the appropriate parts.

Hello Companions.
First to say that I do not handle this brand (I am a ricoh technician/distributor), it is a request from a customer, who has a Xerox WorkCenter 6515, and asks my technical department if we can solve this problem.
The device throws this fault code «062-380» so it does not allow you to operate, someone can lend a hand. Thank you.

I understand that this failure may be due to the explorer’s lamp being dirty, or it being melted/broken.
True? In the case of dirt, it should be possible to clean both the lamp and the mirrors of the explorer.

It is about scanner lamp. Under the scanner glass it is white band ( label ) Check that label is clean, check if the scanner mirrors are clean. All of these works on AGC = Automatic Gain Control

Вопрос:
Здравствуйте. Есть аппарат Xerox WorkCentre Pro 128.
Последнее время часто стала появляться ошибка 062-380, помогает перезагрузка (по питанию), но иногда это необходимо сделать раз 5-10. Ошибка появляется в основном, когда МФУ выходит из режима safemode. Что это может быть и как с этим бороться?
p.s. зеркала визуально чистые
Ответ:
062-380 — неисправность в блоке сканера. Нужно проверить лампу, объектив, зеркало. Обратитесь в сервисный центр.
